Regarding an update by the Chairman of the Worcester Development Authority concerning the Worcester Redevelopment Authority’s Activities.

Vincent Pedone, Chairman of the Worcester Redevelopment Authority, and Michael Traynor, Chief Development Officer, updated the Standing Committee on Economic Develop concerning the WRA’s recent activities, including the Downtown Urban Renewal, renovation options for Union Station, the WRA’s marketing plans and repairing flagpoles.

CHAIRMAN'S ORDERS

1.

Request City Manager provide City Council with an update concerning the response of property owners to the Downtown Urban Renewal Plan, including information regarding how many people have been contacted.

2.

Request City Manager provide City Council with a copy of the Massachusetts House of Representatives’ Economic Development Bond Bill, in an effort to identify any funds available to the City.
