Chairman's Orders

Request City Manager attach to the deed at the Worcester District Registry of Deeds an instrument on each property upon which a Certified Project Application status is conferred that reveals publicly that said property is to be maintained in a classification as tax-paying

Request City Manager request City Solicitor prepare a Home Rule Petition to establish a 5-year lock on real estate tax bills for those multi-family properties whose owners rehabilitate them from a derelict condition.

Request City Manager consider increasing to $600,000 the amount directed to homeowner down payment assistance.

Request City Manager consider developing a program in cooperation with our many academic institutions and museums that recruit their staff with incentives to purchase homes within the city limits.
