1. Communication of the City Manager transmitting Informational Communication on Worcester’s Wayfinding Initiative with Attached Design Recommendations.

Chairman’s Order request the City Manager provide the City Council with a cost estimate for implementation of elements of a phased-in wayfinding program, including state/federal funding sources.

Chairman’s Order request the City Manager include a process for updates-over-time to a wayfinding program.

Chairman’s Order request the City Manager update the City Council concerning the beautification of the major gateways into the City, especially from Interstate exit ramps.

Chairman’s Order request the City Manager consider the following changes/suggestions when developing the Wayfinding plan:

1. Include Shore Park within West Boylston Way,

2. Change the Nine Way to one of more personal/historical significance,

3. Develop criteria/guidelines for the inclusion of public places in the overall program, such as Newton Square, Webster Square, Rice Square, etc…..
