CHAIRMAN'S ORDERS

1.

Request City Manager obtain from the towns of Wellesley and Plymouth data that reveals how close they are to their Proposition 2 and one-half limits, their average per-capita income and the per capita income for retirees.

2.

Request City Manager to request the City Solicitor to provide City Council with an opinion whether or not the City of Worcester may structure a sliding scale as is established under the Senior Exemption.

3.

Request City Manager provide City Council with a report depicting how the commonwealth handles sliding scale benefits payments for it's employees, and the definitions employed in doing same.

4.

Request City Manager recommend to City Council a shift in the City of Worcester contribution rate from 75% to 80% as a senior equality measure.
