1.       Communication of the City Manager relative to the court decisions and legal opinions concerning individuals who have petitioned to be considered for appointment as police officers.

2.       Petition of Christina Orczyk request to seek legislation exempting her from the maximum age requirement to be considered for appointment as a police officer in the City of Worcester as follows: Notwithstanding Section 58A of Chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, Christina M. Orczyk may have her name certified for original appointment to the position of police officer in the City of Worcester, notwithstanding having reached the age of 32 before taking such civil service examination in connection with such appointment.  In all other respects, Christina M. Orczyk shall be eligible for appointment to the position of police officer in the City of Worcester only if she qualifies and is selected for employment under the procedures provided in Chapter 31 of the General Laws, any regulations of the Civil Service Commission and any lawful hiring practices of the City of Worcester.

The City Manager be and he is hereby requested to request the City Solicitor to prepare and file Special legislation exempting Christina M. Orczyk from the maximum age requirements to be considered for appointment as a police officer in the City of Worcester; said legislation to include language stating that a public purpose is being met by said requested appointment.
