Mayor O'Brien recognized the City Manager who stated that he requested the Police Chief to invite to City Council the command team and offices involved in the two recent incidents described in calendar item #9.17B. City Manager O'Brien continued by saying that these events demonstrate the tremendous work performed by the police officers of the Worcester Police Department and their commitment to excellence. Police Chief Gemme added that he was proud of the WPD organization and requested Captain Paul Saucier to narrate the events to City Council. Mayor O'Brien requested the police officers involved to stand and be recognized and they were given a warm standing ovation. All the members of City Council expressed their thanks and gratitude for their remarkable work. Placed on file
