This park is located at the summit of Bell Hill, also known as Chandler Hill Park. It features Bell Hill Pond, formerly known as Bladder Pond, which was Worcester's first reservoir/water supply in 1845.
Chandler Hill is bordered by Belmont Street to the north, Shrewsbury Street to south and east and a densely packed neighborhood of mostly apartment buildings to the west.
In one area of the park, you can play basketball, play on the playground, go for a swim or simply look out at Bell Pond. In another area, Chandler Hill Park, you can play a variety of sports depending on the season on the multipurpose field!
After you've cooled off from swimming at Bell Pond, enjoy hiking through Chandler Park, playing on the bright and cheerful playground structure, play some pick-up basketball with your friends on the court or just relax on the beach and enjoy the scenery. Summer months are perfect for spending the day with entertainment for everyone!
This renovated and enclosed basketball court is a very popular spot for pickup games and for players who just want to work on improving their game. When you're done playing you can also cool off with a swim at Bell Pond!
